I envisioned it containing all of my favorite things, all beloved symbols that somehow comprised home and a sense of being in a place well: a place of true belonging. As I worked, the images began to fall into very distinct group—small, narrow panels, with each panel seeming to speak to a different aspect of my mysterious Italian beginnings. Pondering the ‘unknowns’ in my story, listening in and following the creative threads of Spirit, I was curiously led to all that I did know. The deepest bone memories of what I have always loved, who I have always been, and of all that has nourished and supported me, both seen and unseen, above and just beneath the surface, were revealed.
